I sit here, at this computer, much like my friend Ian did during the filming of "One Good Man" (for those of you who don't know, last September-October, I worked on a film set for the aforementioned movie).
During the shoot, Ian had the task of sitting and staring at computer screens whilst occupying a rather luxurious box van (yes, I am exaggerating). He was a cheerful worker. Here is the evidence:
So yes, today, I have a tiny-teensy-itty-bitty glimpse into the life of Ian. I'm burning lots of DVDs for AFG today and so far, there have only been two causalities...(the first two DVDs failed to burn properly).
Enough of this tech talk! Let's move on to Thanksgiving! And ninjas!
Thanksgiving was a little bit crazy. I've never had Thanksgiving with my Virginia relatives, so since I recently moved to Virginia I decided to stay here for the holiday. Dad flew over from Kansas, so it was me, Dad, Grandma J, Aunt Steph and Uncle Mike.
We didn't really plan very well. Dad had to pick up Grandma before he could drive to my place (she lives 4 hours away), and we were constantly calling each other back and forth. It kinda went like this:
RING RING
Me - Hello?
Dad - Hey, Grandma and I just left her house, we'll be there a little after noon I think.
Me - Ok good.
Dad - I'm not sure what we're doing tonight. I think...(to Gma) What?... Mumma....(to me again) I think we might just eat somewhere tonight, my Mom doesn't think we'll have enough time for the turkey.
Me - WHAT?! NO! We can't eat out IT'S THANKSGIVING!!!! Hey, tell her I'll bake her an apple pie! Cmon... doesn't she want me to make her an apple pie?!
I did make her an apple pie. And I bought half of the evening's groceries while Dad and Gma were driving up to get me. Thanksgiving turned out nice tho, even if we didn't start eating until 8:30 in the evening. And I'm still sore from playing Wii Carnival, or whatever it's called. Man, those Wii's... a video-game where you actually DO STUFF.
Now, you must be thinking to yourself: "Amy, what is this about ninjas? I don't understand the logic behind titling your blog "I'm Thankful for Ninjas". Whatever could it mean?" Well children, I shall tell you. Just recently, I discovered these:
They're called "Tabi". "Jika- Tabi" to be exact. They're basically ninja shoes! And they're awesome. These shoes have inspired me to become more learned in ninjitsu, JUST so I can wear these without being a poser. And if you thought those were cool, get a load of THESE:
DUDE! Awesome. I have my heart set on those, but they're about $200 after tax, so it will be a while. Basically, by the time I become a ninja, I'll be able to dress like one!
Well, that's it guys. Until next time. Oh wait! Random YouTube video (don't be scared):
